We’d like to take this opportunity to provide you with information about JFJ Hope Centre’s response to the rapidly evolving developments related to COVID-19.
JFJ is committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all clients, volunteers and staff. We are following closely the directions coming from Peel Public Health, our local, provincial and federal governments and the World Health Organization. Before coming to the JFJ office, we ask that you call first. At this time the JFJ Office remains open and all services operational, albeit modified. Please contact us for information regarding our programs, to make an appointment or get a virtual link.
Adoption Services
At this time all client meetings will be by skype/facetime or phone or rescheduled. There will be no face
to face client meetings.
Adoption Education groups are cancelled.
If a birth parent delivers we will attend the hospital as usual and follow the directions of the hospital.
Clients are encouraged to connect directly with their counsellors.
Parenting, Counselling and RC Programs
All programs are cancelled.
Counselling appointments will be by skype/facetime or phone or rescheduled. Clients please contact
your counsellor directly.
Care Cupboard
Currently the care cupboard remains open, however we have modified our services. At this time our
usual grocery store practice is on hold and clients will be given a grocery list to complete. Clients will be
asked to remain in the front vestibule area. Staff will then prepare their order for the clients.
If clients do not wish to attend their scheduled appointment, we ask you call to let us know.
We will not be accepting donations of clothing, toys or food at this time. However, we continue to
accept and be grateful for financial donations that help us to provide important services and support to
our clients.
As this is a fast-moving situation with many variables that will impact how JFJ operates, we appreciate
your patience. We will continue to monitor advice from public health to determine whether we need to
make further adjustments and will keep you informed of any decisions.
